They better find a way to lower the Ferrari V8's fuel consumption. Ferrari engines are appalling in this regard compared to other makes.

I guess they figure when you buy a $200,000 vehicle that only carries one passenger and no substantial amount of cargo that you don't worry too much about ponying up $3.00/gallon to make it run.

Well, while I do prefer the 6mt in the RS4 to the SMG in the M6, for 08 BMW will allow owners to fully disengage traction control (unlike before).  On anywhere other than the tightest tracks, I would imagine the M5 would probably have its way.
