Raza- I know. As said, it's not my primary. I'm concerned about leaving her with the 92, it's an old car and I keep expecting it to just die, so the car purchased this time needed to be something she'd be comfortable with that I pretty much wouldn't have to worry about. I'll replace that 92 with something more interesting as soon as my personal finances can warrant it. Believe me when I say I've never been more bored/unhappy with the Camry. If you see something especially interesting around the $10k mark, let me know and I'll consider it, but I don't think I should go much higher right now. I have no debt and I'd like to keep it that way.

Intrepid- The 2000 is an LE and nothing exciting. Frankly, I really dislike it. It's the only one without a nice interior, it does at least have a moonroof, but I think the seats are uncomfortable, the dash unattractive, power barely adequate, my list of dislikes goes on. This is the main reason why the 92 is not dissapearing for a newer car yet, I like it much more than that 2000, regardless of age. And yes, I rather liked those clear corners on the 92. I generally dislike white cars, so when I got that one I tried to make it look a little better.

Ten grand!?

That's a shit load of money on the used market.  Damn, a nice Viggen (though with high miles) was just sold for 8K to a member on another forum.

If you want to talk about it more, we can go to PMs.  But I'd definitely be open to helping you find a replacement.

Yes, it's the 4 cylinder. I'm fine with that though, it has decent power (and more importantly, it feels decent under acceleration... not something I could have said about the previous 4 cylinder engine), and it gets pretty good mileage. Passing power impressed me for what it is, which adds to it being a good highway trip car. I've been taking several of those this summer, so it's worked out just fine.

You're my age.  We're getting old.  Plus, now that you're married, your life expectancy has gone way down, since you're more likely to be poisoned by your wife.

how about you do a chop with the metal still in place, but just move the emblem down to the grill

That would be silly.   :nono:

Luckily I saw the thread title, and set my alarm clock for 5 minutes in the future and I was happy I did, nothing like sleeping through the work day.

Can get Viggens for $10k!!

I warned you about the drowsiness. If you read this Camry thread after taking a Tylenol PM, you might never wake up at all.

Oh that's right; they sold/sell the XLE in the States with a 4-cylinder.

Yep. I wouldn't have bought it with the 6 they offered in it in 04 anyway, the 4 cyl is smooth and gets good mileage, with enough power to get the job done, why pay for the 6?

The new 6 on the other hand, I'd take.

The old 6 was dismal. The new 6 is

I personally like that generation of Camry.  It's a decent looking car IMO.

After you wake up with the sun at 6am on someone's floor, coughing up cigarette butts and tasting like warm beer, you may well change your opinion on this matter.

thewizard16

Thanks. I'm of course not wild or raving about the car, but it's a very nice car, and good at what it does.

I wouldn't mind a Camry on the highway, but in any other kind of driving I would be frustrated and bored.  Atleast it has leather
