The F-22 pwns you all.

According to British research, Simulations between the 22 and the 37 yielded a 10 to 1 kill ratio for the 22.
It better considering it's ten times the price.

F-35 is the only one that can take off vertically though. Actually I'm not sure about the Su-37..although I don't recall it can. Either way the JSF (F-35) is the most economically important because it now means countries who couldn't necessarily afford a jet of this caliber now can. F-35's all around!  I think that's why we spent so damn much on the F-22, we being the U.S. can't just be on par with other nations we have to be better.  Either way I really like the F-35 just because of how cool it is! The whole engine shifting is crazy to me. It had to be a huge challenge to engineer that.

Well the jury is still out on how well the F-35 will perform.  Usually highly complex and overweight fighters deliver disappointing real-world performance.  I personally think the Boeing X-32, which had a much less sophisticated vertical flight system, would have been the better choice, at least for the Marines STOVL model.

... which turns out to be not as fast or maneuverable as the designers intended.  Exactly.

Unlike the F/A-18 Super Hornet, which was underweight, under budget, and has been tested to exceed all its design limits by a very comfortable margin, and has been proven capable of beating a Raptor in a straight fight.

Yes, that is quite a remarkable plane. I was in love with that and the F-16 when I was growing up. I have these mdoel planes 40 or so that are about 8 inches long and sit on these metal stands. I love those things.

The cool thing about the F-35 is it's the first of it's kind in the the main engine is waht points downward not the silly small ones like in the harrier. It's a beautiful plane. I'm disappointed you guys doubted my plane knowledge.

The Harrier has only one engine, the thrust from which is pointed downward during hover and rearward when in forward flight.

My money would go to a Mazdaspeed3. Actually, I would drive the GTI and the MS3 back to back to decide.

sportyaccordy

Damn.

The Honda guy in me says 'CIVIC 2.0SI VTI FERIO SEDAN'...

But honestly... the GTI has that wonderful motor, transmission, suspension, and super high quality interior. Not to mention it's about 18% less ugly.

Yaw would get the Civic Si sedan. But for Raza I'd say the GTI is the better choice. You will get bored with the Rabbit, the Si coupe is ugly and the MS3, while a good choice, just can't match the upscale feel or technological novelty of the GTI. The GTI wasn't Automobile mag's car of the year in '07 for nothing.

Raza

I'm really lost right now.  I just don't know what I want.  I was thinking about insurance on a CSi, and that's going to be ridiculous.  The Rabbit is the only one that makes sense to buy, and it will be a car that will be good for mods.  I can't really afford the GTI or the MS3, unless I go used.  And used is a huge clusterfuck of options.

I guess it depends on your POV.  Nearly a year seems like a pretty long time to me, especially considering I seem to change cars every 18 months very unexpectedly.
