Weight vs. Power

Assuming both cars are RWD, what would you prefer?

2800 lbs and 200 hp
9 (45%)
3500 lbs and 400 hp
11 (55%)

SVT666

I would take 3500 lbs and 400 hp.

Champ

Give me the same power to weight ratio, and I'd take the 2800 and 320hp car.

Eye of the Tiger

I picked one at random because this poll doesn't make any sense.
2008 TUNDRA (Truck Ultra-wideband Never-say-die Daddy Rottweiler Awesome)

the Teuton

If they both have nearly the same content and neither has been gutted, I'd take the 2800 lbs car.  Heck, when will I really need 350 hp?
2. 1995 Saturn SL2 5-speed, 126,500 miles. 5,000 miles in two and a half months. That works out to 24,000 miles per year if I can keep up the pace.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

She'll hate diesel passenger cars, all things Ford, and fiat currency.  They will masturbate to old interviews of Ayn Rand an youtube together.
You can take the troll out of the Subaru, but you can't take the Subaru out of the troll!

Onslaught

I will always take a lighter car. Theres no replacement for anorexia in cars.

TheIntrepid

Heavier + more horsepower

2004 Chrysler Intrepid R/T Clone - Titanium Graphite [3.5L V6 - 250hp]
1996 BMW 325i Convertible - Brilliant Black [2.5L I6 - 189hp]

Vinsanity

I'll always take the better power/weight ratio

nickdrinkwater

Lower weight.  The only reason the heavier car needs more power is to offset the weight.  Not the other way round.

giant_mtb

3500 pounds and 400 HP.

For bragging rights/purposes.

Soup DeVille

Okay, so explain to me which Mustnag vs. something else argument you're trying to win first...
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

MX793

Why didn't you give them the same power/weight ratio?
Needs more Jiggawatts

2016 Ford Mustang GTPP / 2011 Toyota Rav4 Base AWD / 2014 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 ABS
1992 Nissan 240SX Fastback / 2004 Mazda Mazda3s / 2011 Ford Mustang V6 Premium / 2007 Suzuki GSF1250SA Bandit / 2006 VW Jetta 2.5

280Z Turbo

I chose 2800 lbs and 200 hp because I already have a car like that. :P

sandertheshark

More power in this case.  I'd take a GTO over an S2000, if that's what you're asking.

280Z Turbo

On second thought, I'll take 3500 lbs 400 hp as long as it's not a shitbox Rustang.

Raghavan

Lighter car. You can add power easily, but weight doesn't come off as easily.

Minpin

I like knowing I got serious HP under the hood for several reasons. High HP almost always means high torque and you gotta love the torque. And I like knowing I got more HP than that civic next to me at the light.
?Do you expect me to talk?"

This poll is worthless. There are too many other things to consider such as the cars themselves, suspension setup, which car is ultimately more fun and involving to drive, etc.

You might as well just asked what would you rather drive? S2000 or Mustang GT?

Since its been brought up a couple of times now: the S2000 has 240 HP, not 200.

Well, really it's now rated at 237 and the Mustang has 300 not 400. My point was that this poll is worthless. Something like what would you rather drive S2K or Mustang GT would have made more sense.

You don't know how to have fun do you?  Everything has to be analyzed to death.  It's a simple fucking question.  All these polls are worthless if you really want to get down to it.

What? You can't say what you'd rather have if you know nothing about the car thats 200hp and 2800lbs and the car thats 400hp and 3500lbs. The latter could be a Vette with a little more weight or a Camry with another 140hp.

After driving them back to back, I had to say I wanted both of them.

links?

There are a few more guys that have done similar projects, and believe it or not there used to be commercially available rocket powered go-karts for sale in the '60s...

edit: the links I have on that are out of date, but this one still works:http://www.almar.easynet.be/turbonique.htm
