The E-Class is always a little more expensive than the 5-Series like for like.  There's no E230 here though, either.  We just have E200, E280, E350, E500, E63 and E220, E280 and E320 CDIs.  There used to an E240 though...

E280 CDI for me 

The E240 W211 was a terrible car. The engine was weaker and thirster than the E320 3.2-l V6. I am amazed it was even offered. Guess they needed a gap filler between the E200 Kompressor and E320.

Looks like they're taking the Prestige Pricing a bit too far down there.

As a whole, the Mercedes-Benz range has better resale value than the BMW range, though - the used market favours three-pointed stars over blue and white roundels.
