Awesome! Thanks for posting that. The Chateau part was interesting.

veyrons are too ugly. its a shame, engineering marvel, but looks like ass...Mclaren F1 plz!

though the factory view is quite interesting...does anyone know what that new project is? Is it brand new or does it have something to do with the veyron? (i remember reading a few reports that bugatti has got something planned for the future, but iirc it had something to do with the veyron) anyone know for sure?

Might be that affordable Bugatti or the Veyron convertible.

Galaxy

The latest info is that the affordable (relative) Bugatti will not be made. Current rumors point to a four door coup? being the most likely next modell. As for the Veyron a cabrio is as good as confirmed. A sport version (more power lighter) is still a rumour.

So you turn off the ESP and the car transmits the speed you're going to the factory.  That's unfair!

I'm sure #1 on your list is a pristine 2007 Camry Hybrid in a brilliant Aloe Green.

Do you want to mess with the ECU of a $1.6 million car?  Then, when something breaks and they can't figure out what without the sensors you disconnected, do you want to pay for it?

When you turn the car off (not ESP) it beams back the speed. I guess they use this to calculate oil, tire usage.

Raza

The Veyron's not a car.  As impressive as it might be, it will always be an engineering exercise to see what can be done.  As an engineering exercise, it's representative of what humans can do when faced with the impossible.  As a car, it's a technological marvel, but not really the type of thing that I can fall in love with.  The same goes for cars like the Enzo and MC12 and Caparo.  There's a difference between being impressed and being in love.  I could never love the Veyron; it's far too big, far too heavy, far too ugly, far too clinical.  You look at it and you look at the technical specifications and you know that it was a car built for engineers by engineers.

Am I the only one who doesn't find the Veyron ugly?

I think it looks hot!

Onslaught

I personally don't think it's very good looking. From that picture angle it looks ok but from other ones it's not even fast enough to outrun it's ugliness.

850CSi

Good God it's absolutely hideous.

Have any of you seen the Pur Sang model yet?  Other than a lack of paint, what makes it so cool?

Do you think people who'll pay 1.6 mill for a car stay up late at night worrying whether or not they'll have to pay for a few extra hours of labor when it gets serviced?

You might have a point there.  It's the principle of the matter, though.

And the owner may very well feel that if he spends that kind of coin on a car that he should have the right to do what he wants with it without letting the manufacturer know.

Since I'm unfortunately not a gajillionaire though, I can only guess at how such a person might think...

I'm so glad that Dubai is spending its money so wisely: instead of on - oh say- developping a nuclear weapons program for instance.
