Nice!  I love it.  Fisker does it again.  The Artega GT is what a Lotus Exige should have looked like.

sportyaccordy

What a beautiful car. This is based on the Cayman right? This dude should give the Elise/Exige a new body.

SaltyDog

That's a very attractive design.

That's really nice.

Though I disagree that's what the Exige should have looked like.  It would be more accurate to say that's what the Europa should have been...

The article says nothing about it being based on any car, but the power comes from a VW engine and a DSG tranny.

SVT666

Car and Driver is the only website I could find that even mentions the Cayman, but apparently that's what it's based on.

CJ

It's not very nice looking on the outside, but the interior looks fantastic.

It certainly doesn't have the exquisite looks of a Veracruz, that's for sure.

Your taste is very suspect.  The interior is the weak point IMHO and the exterior is gorgeous.

Yes, there?s a little Porsche Cayman there, and the Artega GT does have a 3.6-liter Volkswagen-sourced V-6 engine, so there is sort of a link to the family. But the styling, penned by Henrik Fisker, is cleaner than a Cayman. Fisker is, after all, the man responsible for much of the current look of the Aston Martin portfolio. Hardy Essig, a former Porsche engineer, helped develop the drivetrain.

Not sure how to take that... or why they would go with a friggin V6 over the melodic, low-polar-inertia, balanced flat-6 the Cayman came with. It also looks very narrow. In any case I am all for this guy's designs, his cars are always beautiful. Should also be interesting to see his foray into the performance realm.

It's probably cheaper.

I don't care for the headlights or taillights, but otherwise a very nice shape. Side profile looks great.

You're my age.  We're getting old.  Plus, now that you're married, your life expectancy has gone way down, since you're more likely to be poisoned by your wife.

TheIntrepid

The front end looks like a cross between a 360 Modena and a Carrera GT. The back end from the side profile screams Audi R8. I think overall it's nice looking, but I still think the Exige is 100% hotter.

The Vantage is hideous, and this thing is "not very nice looking on the outside"?

You have horrible taste.

Wait.
Someone, on this forum, thinks the Vantage is hideous? Just a minute.

Admittedly, it's no But that equals something greater than beautiful.

Now that you've been educated, I'm sure we'll never have this problem again.

(And to satisfy the potential ChrisV comment  ;), yes, I understand he has a right to find this car ugly. I just think the choice to do so makes him a little... abnormal.  :nutty: )

I was just about to say the same thing, though I love the Europa's looks.

This is nothing short of gorgeous.

I really like it but i'd rather have the Cayman for it's manual transmission and flat 6.
