I thought it was quite funny!  Probably because I saw an S55 AMG a few days prior that said GUPTA on the number plate..and then a brown man walked to that car.

GUPTA is an Indian last name.

I know.  And this man was obviously Indian.

Congrats! You put 2 and 2 together.

I have a new Maxima and I like it a lot.  It still has a tendency to sway a bit under heavy power (torque steer) but it's a great car with a good amount of room and there's some good deals to be had.

This is true. I only meant that the Spec B is rare.

They are, but they aren't impossible to find. Besides, like TBR said, he could find a MY2005 Legacy 2.5GT, which is its equivalent for cheap.

One crash and all of a sudden you're into shuffleboard, early bird specials, and going to bed when the sun is still up?

Jesus, man.  I think you lost more than a car in that crash.

As terrible as this sounds, that's hilarious.

Jettas apparently do very well in crashes.  What about a GLI?

I'd rather drive an old man car (Taurus) than a chick car (Jetta)

no kidding about the deals! carsdirect quoted a starting price of just over $23k for a 2007 Maxima SE ... alas, it appears the 07's are no more :(

How can I know? Why don't you want a GTI?

I'm just giving you a hard time :tounge:

And I'd rather have the Audi because for about the same price, I get the same engine, a longer warranty, (certified) and less depreciation.

Trep: The VW doesn't isn't a quattro either

Yeah but an Audi without Quattro is like an exciting Toyota, in that it is POSSIBLE for it to happen but it just doesn't look right!

well you don't seem to have any problem with driving a non-exciting Toyota

besides, where I live, AWD is as useful as a screen door on a submarine

Never looked for a Spec B, but the MY2005 equivalent isn't too hard to find (5MT GT Limited).

The SpecB has sportier/firmer suspension tuning than the 2.5GT.

I believe the front suspension is completely redone with an STI-like setup.
