pretty damn good job of converting it. http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=37363

I think Wimmer finally agreed that Toyotas are better and tried to make the best of one.

This picture would be a great candidate for the F4IL thread.

that thread you link to was getting pretty nasty for awhile, until the owner of the limo showed up and then everyone started kissing his ass...

FordSVT

Must be slow as shit. Why wouldn't they try to make a real 3-4 door limo with a proper interior if they were going to go through the trouble?

To summarize, someone saw the car on the road and took a cell phone pic and posted it.  Then there were about 7 pages of fighting over whether the picture was photoshopped or not, and finally the Prius limo owner joined the forum and set everyone straight by posting pictures from the build, which you posted here.  He was showered with kudos and I was left wondering why I spent so much time caring about a stupid Prius.

What kind of gas mileage does it get?

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

Different way of driving these things altogether. I always end up chirping the Camry tires when I drive it after teh Trep, which I drive like I stole it.

Oh, I know, I just can't be bothered to drive it for fuel efficiency....when I drive that car, it's not like I paid for that gas

True. I pay for my Trep's gas and I drive it so hard. 450km to a tank is hard to get.

On highway the mileage should be comparable to stock I would think.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

One of those things that fit the category of,"It CAN be done, but I really don't think it SHOULD be done."

Give me an early '60s Fleetwood 75 or classic Mercedes 600 Pullman, or any other purpose-built limo over any stupid stretch job.

Raza

That's not a limo, that's a minivan.

C4 Picasso has that.  It does look a bit odd.

Galaxy

One thing that was done right here is that they spent the effort to keep the roof curved. 99% of limo makers do it the cheap way and the roof ends up completly flat, which imo looks really ugly.

The builder may have built this car just to prove that any car can be stretched, and selected the Prius because of it's complex roofline.

He did it so he could fit his family of 6 into his fuel car.

Onslaught

I'd like to see a picture of the roof and know what they did to make the body lines that don't exactly line up in that picture right.

I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and guess he's in it for the environmental benefits rather than economical.   :rastaman:  I'll wager he could have bought a few years worth of gas with the money he spent on stretching it.

I wonder if it's in danger of breaking in half, Clarkson-style.

Okay then: it seems that it would have been easier as well to swap the Prius' drivetrain into something larger...

And one needs to ask: how good for the environment is it build a custom car? Harmful paint fumes, grinder disc dust, and lots of dangerous fumes are produced by your average welding job...
