Basically yeah, but that picture doesn't show it with the canopy out and the railings and steps up. My idea was to make it into a rolling tiki bar.

Not a bad idea, but limits its usefulness at family barbecues.

Unfortunately, it doesn't limit it enough.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

Easy fix. Before the kids go to bed, it's just a fireman pole.

This kinda fits here. I watch this site all the time for my dad, who has a bit of a business in military surplus. This os the first thing I've really considered seriously;

That'd be cool.

I also like converted Airstreams. Those are $$ though
I have a friend up in MI that converted one of those! She pulls it from Western Michigan to Chicago on the regular!

Neat little rig.  Great for someone with a bit of LAND.

I'm 100% certain I could get it licensed for on-road use in Michigan.

Interesting, but nothing that I need. A deuce.5 would do nicely.

Damn this is a good price on a good looking 240D with a 4 speed manual. It's just not the right time for me.

Throw some camo on.  Nobody's gonna stop you if you just look like you're in the National Guard.

Also, that thing looks awesome.

It's ugly as sin but it sounds like its built to go anywhere. That price is cheap considering its capabilities. How hard would it be to get parts?

Its an auction, so I don't know how much they'll go for. Not many on the market yet, so parts might be an issue.

Unless you're in the woods going <20mph.

Some Googling suggests those things were supplied to the military for about $200k apiece.

Fun as hell on a trail. Miserable and terrifying on the road (above like 30mph, anyway).

Designed specifically to be airlifted by the Osprey. Turbo diesel, height adjustable air suspension, five point harnesses.

I've yet to find anybody who's actually driven one though; they weren't used widely and for only a couple years.

Also, from the ad:
Plymouth/Chrysler had limited production of these cars all through a 5 year production run (with a break in production in 1998) only 11,702 were produced and the collectability of these cars is very high and chances are it always will be with how limited they are especially with only just over 7400 miles on the clock!

2002 MSRP: $44,625 ($63k in today's money)
Current ad price: $30,500

The rear "trunk" contains the transaxle and the fuel tank. It's completely useless.

LOL and I imagine convertible top?

Looks like a super fat ass but so funny that it's so worthless.

I've always loved the look though! they totally nailed the overall front-end look of the old fashioned fendered racecars, IMO.
