My year is '89, I'll definitely have to think on it.

I love that statement. Too bad manual 928's were so rare.

'83 Alpina B9. I really had to dig for that.

'87 was probably my favorite year car-wise. Acura, the M3/M5, Prelude, Benz 300CE/560SEC, MR-2, Supra... F40, 959, and the assortment of turbo Dodges... great time to be an enthusaist.

It's a toss-up between this

and this:

Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

Nowhere near the 3.0CSL though. Easily the most beautiful BMW of all time.

Interesting. Probably my favorite 20th century model year would be 1992. That's when I started really learning more about cars, and that's when it seemed to be like cars were getting considerably better (Toyota Camry, various GM cars). And these were around:

Mercedes W140
Mercedes R129
BMW 850
Lexus SC400
Nissan 300ZX TT
Cadillac STS
Infiniti Q45

and most importantly
Lambo Diablo

edit: and the Acura NSX!

i wouldn't mind an automatic. i've seen what a well programmed automatic can do and it works just fine for a GT like that.

Oh 1989... also the Camry AllTrac!

My dad had one in '88... not the LE though. But 5 speed, with a huge "DIFF" button on the center console.

I wish I could get one now, just to lower and turbocharge... that would be something

Mine was a DX as well, the base model with hubcaps, and automatic.

NO FAIR! :rage: I have the worst birth year hands down as far as this question is concerned (1980)

Dammit, that was a pretty slim year.  Good thing I missed most of it.

I'll go with this:
