If driving at 6/10ths is why people buy cars, why don't we cut the power output of them all by 40%?

Why not? 6/10ths in my BMW is twice the legal limit anywhere in North America... Most driving is done at 6/10ths or less on the street (or, it should be)

Oh, and after owning over 100 cars, and driving hundreds more, BMWs do indeed have an intangible something that makes them feel better in most cases. I bought mine partially for that reason. One doesn't think of large sedans as being agile dance partners but BMW managed to do it.

And as for FWD vs RWD, once you are decent at driving, which end is driven is really of little importance. How the suspension is set up and what tires the car is wearing are vastly more important to making the car dance.
Like a fine Detroit wine, this vehicle has aged to budgetary perfection...

meh...maybe I need to drive more of them, but I was never really blown away by how BMW's drive compared to other cars. At least not at 6/10ths
