Anyways, this car is not built by any company you've heard of (in all likelihood). However, it WAS built as a model proposal to a make that you HAVE heard of, but won't any more. The official name of this car bears the smaller whozdat company's name, not the better-known one's.

Oh yeah, here's something likely confusing, but trust me, it'll make sense once the answer is found. Perhaps you can wrap your mind around this and the previous clue and become a Google Holmes?
