It looks quite similar to the 2001 (all metal) S2000 knob

(which I still have)

My Raza knob is all metal, and it weighs 340-grams.

A Raza knob would be something else entirely.

We're going to have some great economy car battles in a few months.

Battles? Ha! If that's what you want to call it, that's your perogative. But in reality, there will be one fine piece of German craftsmanship running circles around a couple of Jap-bombs.

You aint kiddin me.

One day, I actually took my sock off and covered the shifter with it so I could touch it.

Winter wasn't bad, it would heat up pretty quick if you held it for any length of time.

I think Honda was trying to encourage quick shifts and keeping your hand off of the shifter when you're not using it.

I assume that's why you took the shifter off eventually...

I always chuckle when I see something like that.  It's so simple!  Sure, it looks great, but you gotta figure for a production car they'd go with something a little more all season...

I bought a momo leather knob. it didn't look half as good, but it didn't scald me either.

My car was a 2001. '02 or '03 they went to a leather wrapped one anyways.

See, this knob was $30 and is weighted. A weighted MOMO knob is more like $90+

Ah, so they wizened up!

Fun souvenir of the old ride at least.

We do that with the boats we sell: we've got tillers from our last three boats, and a nameboard from one of them.

I think as a gift I'll get all the tillers mounted for Dad- ha I just had a brainwave!

Bah, I think that's rubbish. Maybe it has some validity on a direct linkage, but with cable operation, I doubt it.

We got the Accord with 4k, it has over 250k on the original clutch now, it's survived that long being driven with people fiddling with the shifter....
