Maybe I should get myself a fart pipe for the Focus.

Nah...I like it nice and quiet.

How is this not 30 pages yet? Fine, let's talk about more Jetta.

The windshield washer mysterously started working, so I don't have to worry about that for now.

1. I found out that it needs one new brakeline for about $100. The rest look like they're new.
2. Clutch, let's say $500 if it's not just a bad cable
3. Oil change plz kthx
   a. air filter
   b. clean pcv
   c. clean throttle body
4. CEL on. I put a new breather hose on which probably caused it, but I need to check the code.
5. HOly crap it's dirty. Stupid winter. Need to visit a heated car wash
   a. PLease remove NBPL bumper sticker . It could be some homosexual neo-nazi cult for all I know
6. Air horns
7. New summer tires
8. NOS

Brake lines are not $100.

Bend your own lines from Autozone. It should be 10x1.0 bubble flare.

I like to hear my engine and it helps me drive better. But, I simply cannot afford to draw any unwanted attention to myself. 3-more points and I'll be pleading to a judge not to suspend my licnese. That's like one noise violation ticket right there. I need to be stealthy.

My last girlfriend was a bubble flare...

After you wake up with the sun at 6am on someone's floor, coughing up cigarette butts and tasting like warm beer, you may well change your opinion on this matter.

No, I've already been through this. I don't have a garage.

Yeah, it's winter, but you could do something like a brake line.  Or wait a few weeks for a warmer day.

I didn't realize that Mainers were such pansies.

I'll have to take a picture of my parking space. It is absolutely NOT the kind of place anybody should be crawling under cars. It's solid ice right now, and when it warms up it will be sloppy mud. I'd have to wear a damn scuba suit.

Do it in the Autozone parking lot.

Yeah. Umm... no. I'm a pansy, okay? I'll only work outside on dry ground when the temperature is above freezing.

At the moment, yes. I'll pay $100 for one brake line. Come summer time when the ground dries up, I'd do it, but you couldn't get me to lay out there on the ground right now even if you had a gun pointed at my head. No fucking way in hell.

Don't worry, this thread is on pace to hit 30 pages much quicker than the other one. The other one took almost 1.5 months, where as this has only been 10 days so far.

Then maybe I should shoot for 50 pages. :mask:

You're my age.  We're getting old.  Plus, now that you're married, your life expectancy has gone way down, since you're more likely to be poisoned by your wife.

:nono: not if I keep changing the subject.

What should I get:

Neuspeed Supercharger

or

Garrett Turbo

?

Both are aboue $2500.

The answer is none of the above. Get NOS for $400.

Get a turbo off of a Z for $100. JB weld it to your exhaust manifold.

I really need a fresh set of tires, actually. The ones there now are some kind of nearly bald, cheap summer tires, and the ones on my extra set of Jetta wheels are also nearly bald, cheap summer tires.

If I have a little extra cash, I might go with Bridgestone G009's

Or for substantially less money

Falkens are surprisingly good for the money. And I have an amazing bias against Bridgestone after three sets of shitty tires from them.

It's also dangerous because the floorboards could fall out.

In. The floorboards always fall in. And up.
