Do they offer LED tail lights in NA or the JATTA is equiped with regular bulbs?

Here all the JETTAs sold have standart LED tail lights.

The serpentine belt broke just after I left work, but it still drove another 90 minutes so I could get home. Yay for huge batteries. It'll get fixxed in the morning.

My job requires that the Jetta increase its off-road capabilities. The Azenis are 195/60/14, and apparently, they are not all terrain tires. I am going to do some measurements and see if I can fit some 195/70, otherwise I'm just going with some 195/65, probably Dunlop SP60's or any good, cheap a/s tire that has something resembling a tread that won't instantly leave me stranded the second it comes upon a moist bit of soil.
After I get tires, I'll be looking at Ground Control for some adjustable coilovers that may raise the suspension around 2" if desired.
After that, it's a damn turbo. srsly

What size tires came on those wheels stock?  Mine came with 175/70/14s, but I have 185/65/14s on there right now, and I'd like to go with a 195/60, but I don't know if it would fit.

Jetta's stock size is 195/60. I can't imagine that you would have any problems with 195/60. Check the measuerments, and it's nearly the same diameter as a 185/65, so you only have to worry about a 10mm increase in width.

I got a 0.8"-thick deck of cards and placed it between my Azenis and the bottom spring seat on the shocks. No room for a 195/70. I'm ordering the 196/65 Dunlop SP60's tonight. I'm also repainting my extra set of steel wheels... red primer.

I'm putting a new stereo in my brother's Jetta. He blew out his rear speakers and the shitty ass stock deck is busted.

Do you still have the factory deck and speakers, Nick? How do you like them?

The car came with an aftermarket head unit that eat's CD's and changed radio stations spontaneously... I fixed the radio station problem by removing the down button via a screwdriver and some prying, so now I can listen to the radio anyway. It puts out a lot of bass if I crank it up, but the stock speakers can't handle it. Mid and highs are good.

My brother was really impressed with the stock speakers, but they obviously couldn't handle the abuse.

There are 6 3/4" speakers in the front doors, deep 6 3/4" componet speakers w/ tweeters in the rear deck, and some tweeters in the dash.

I think I'm going to install some normal 6 3/4" Kenwoods in the front doors and an Alpine componet system in the rear deck.

mmmmkay, now that we have that out of the way, please never mention stereos in this thread again. Instead, let's talk about the "huge" off road tires I just ordered. The 185/70/14 Dunlop SP60's will give me an extra 0.55" of ground clearence, and hopefully have something resembling traction in the mud.

Perhaps next week I will take some pictures of the blueberry "fields", many of which are just boulder fields which happen to have blueberries growing out of them, and some pictuers of the Jetta tackling the access "roads" which would make most Jeep owners crap their pants.

Can we all take pictures of our jobs?  Everyone here would shit themselves to see 3 M3s, 3 M5s, 2 M6s, and a bunch of other really neat cars.

I shan't do it, though.

You could insist that all the M5's need to be moved every day to keep the sun from fading the paint unevenly, and that they all be taken on periodic "test drives" to ensure that the batteries stay charged.

$600-$900 for a coilover kit, or $40 for four of these to put under the coil springs.

but I'm not too sure if these will work. It seems to me like they would slip off the lower spring seats under all the pressure.

I'd get the spring kit.  Honestly, if your going to to a job like that, you should go all out and get the best that you can afford.

Maybe I'll do that when it comes time to replace the struts, but for now it's too expensive. I just checked the spring seats, and have determined that the rubber spacers will probably work for now. I'm going to order them.

There's a work policy here that prevents me from taking pictures because the management is under the impression we have "trade secrets," which we don't.

I'll post the pics when I get home.
