Well look to the bright side, then. The Audi took premium fuel, right? What kind of mpg was it getting, again?

Well there you go, then. I'd much rather suffer the consequences of questionable suspension mods for the sake of ground clearance than to run out of gas 30 miles into the woods.

I just added 20hp to the Jet by fixing a vacuum leak to the fuel pressure regulator.

I bottomed out the front of the Jet pretty hard today. Damn invisible rocks! :rage:
Anyway, it sucks because now there is an insane vibration at 3,000rpm. I broke/bent something. Motor mount, subframe, or exhaust I'm guessing.

I found out what I damaged.
The center crossmember is bent way up and the exhaust is resting on top of it.

NACar, you need to pick up one of these.  I poached this photo from a thread on mtbr.com.  It's a Jetta TDI that's chipped and has bigger injectors.  The best part is that he has a 1.5" lift on there.  Forty-two mpg and damn good ground clearance!  :ohyeah:

If I had $5000 to blow, I'd get a MKIV TDI Golf and the 2" metalnerd lift kit... OR, maybe a VR6.

What makes your Ranger any better than the B2300 that I rented and couldn't get up a little gravel hill?
