A fairly large undertaking, no time soon but still needs consideration

I think that black Miata is worth your money.  I'm not a fan of the blue.

The last thing I'm hung up on is color. As long as it doesn't have Hello Kitty on it I really don't care.
If the Pittsburgh car doesn't pan out (didn't respond to my email, I'm going to call the listed number tomorrow with an enthusiastic voicemail message ready if needed) I'll offer him $2000 for that car and throw $1000 at it unless it just looks wrong to me in person. Blue car takes precedence, it doesn't have a hardtop but short of a plastic window I don't need to do shit to it.

Chimp; please don't buy that blue Miata with the ricey taillights.

Pft, says you.

All Miatas are excellent cars, unless they have an automatic transmission or power steering.

Wanna buy a Proteg??

Hehehe, seriously, I hope the Miata works out for ya!  It's a fun car, and I really want one.  It just isn't feasible at this point though.  It'll be a different story in a few years when it could be a second car.

So... You must have power steering in yours, eh? Fair enough, though.

As far as Miata fit, I'm 6'2", I have fairly long legs, and I fit, but just barely. I only had one somewhat awkward leg position, so if I was driving for more than a couple or hours, I'd have a sore knee.

I'm 5'9 or 5'10" or something. I have stumpy legs at that. I'm not really worried about feeling like a circus bear in this thing.

Tomorrow I give Mr. Blue Miata a ring, pray it's not sold yet... (or if I leave a message he actually calls back)

I shouldn't get this car, should I?

http://detroit.craigslist.org/car/578363132.html

It looks beat to crap, dumb wheels and a fart can, but it includes different wheels and a freaking turbo setup. It also has a dirty interior and a retarded steering wheel cover. This one is kind of hard to read. New windshield and rubbing compound = chock-full-o-brum, or would I really be asking for it with this thing?

I'd stay far away from  that. Get a nice stock car for that money and then turbo it later if you really want to. That car looks like shit.

The number for the blue car didn't even work. I tried 1144 instead of 1114 and got a voicemail, hopefully that's the person. If not, the dealer for the white car said it was getting a new ECM. I'll probably get that one if blue car remains a mystery and the white car doesn't have some unannounced problem (though its a dealer so I wouldn't think so)

The Pittsburgh car has been there for a while.  Trust me, I've been checking a lot more than you have.  If you end up stopping in town on any day before Friday and after Saturday, shoot me a PM.  I'd be more than happy to meet another Spinner.
