Any changes made to cars for the sake of pedestrians having a tea party in the middle of the road is utter nonsense. We should all get ourselves an LRX each and hit as many people as possible, because it will be like floating on clouds as they meet the grille head-on.

Wrapping the car in mattresses seems like a great safety idea:

That would help pass the 35mph pedestrian falling from the sky test!

Soon there will be a day when car makers will no longer compete to see who can shove the greatest number of cupholders in their model, but rather whom can secure the largest mattress on the roof.

Suicide attempts are not a joke, Mr. Cron. :nono:

Automakers need to make sure that people who land on cars from the top of 30 story buildings are not hurt.

Oh no:confused: Yeah that look is not doing it for me. I mean it's not all terrible, there are elements you could take from it and put it on a better body... But overall it's not good.

:orly:

And I suppose people who jump from the 31st story should be toast?  Man you are cold!

If you ever make it to Oz and ask for Foster's, large men with reflective safety vests and work-shorts will dish out a seeing-to.

We don't put them on; we slip them on. Adds...flavour....and such.

Yes. That will do. Flavour.

My only real exposure to Australia has been through movies and some foreign exchange students from Adelaide who attended school with me my senior year.

I imagine the ontological nature of Oz as existing somewhere between the trifecta of Muriel's Wedding, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, and Crocodile Dundee, with everyone listening to ABBA whilst smearing vegemite on their toast.

I did read recently though that over 80% of the country's two best-selling models (Commodore and Falcon) are stold straight to fleets, so I suppose we aren't that different after all.

I was sitting at a local cafe whilst reading this post.  Thanks to the laughter this post effected in me, I am now officially considered a weirdo by everyone else in the cafe.   :nutty:

So had any further thoughts on my suggestion to Mad Max the Lexcen?
