Any ideas on how to get those shitty things off the windows?  I was thinking of using a hair dryer and then some Goo Gone to take the glue residue off.
Hair dryer and some floss or fishing line maybe?

That's a good idea, at least the floss will get used this way.

Congrats!

Man you don't fuck around when you're buying a car do you? Not a lot of people consider traveling to other countries to purchase one.

Depending on price, that could be a good deal.

I thought about it, but I don't have time.  In two weeks I start building my house and I'm the General Contractor, I have a full time job, and my wife is delivering in early May.  I won't have time to do it again until after we move into the new house in the fall/winter.

Oh man, do you have any experience as a general contractor? I don't think you know what you're getting yourself into. Just my humble prediction: it will take longer than planned, cost more than expected, and cause more headaches than you want to deal with.

Well, well.  I'm gone for a few days and the muscle car guy picks up a hot hatch!

Congratulations!  It's a great car.

Oh, and remove those dopey window eyelids!

Looks nice.  Though I think you should remove those wind deflectors!

I've only ever seen one SVT Focus but they look pretty cool.  I'm sure you will have fun with it, but it's also practical and good value.

They say the ST170 is pretty close.

So I just faxed the forms and shit to the government and within 72 hours I should have my approval.  The car then has to go in for it's Federal and Provincial inspections and then it will be good to go.  I should be driving it by the weekend.

Congratulations!  Great little car :ohyeah:.

I'm glad it (mostly) all went well for you.

Thanks man.

I'm asking my wife for a short throw shifter for my birthday, but I probably won't get it. :(  My wife doesn't see the value in things like that.  So I told her that she doesn't have to understand, and she just glared at me.  So I hung my head and walked away.

Tried it.  It doesn't work.  "Most women have more shoes then I do" is her response.  Then I say, "We're not talking about other women...unless of course you really want to."  That didn't go over well.

I'm taking it down Westside Road this coming weekend.  The road is very twisty and is on the side of a mountain.  It's really fun.

Thanks.  Yes it does.  If the Focus is this good, I figure the Contour was just as good.

Didn't go that way.  When I got to Portland I headed East to Maryhill and then North on 97 to the Canadian border.

I just checked with the Province and the vanity plate I was going to apply for is not possible because SVT is a licensed trademark.  So, no SVT 666 for my car.  Any suggestions?
