Great find, black on black. Alot of people go far distances to buy one with that combo ;)

It's got the extended warranty as well.. win win win.

Unfortunately, with that combo, and all those perks, it's gone gone gone.  :(

I think the advantages of a new car over a used car is very obvious.

I also think the advantages of a used car over a used car is very obvious.

You're all idiots for arguing about it.
No, CJ is the dumb one. New cars are nice but when you can have a much nicer pre owned one with a warranty, that's the obvious choice.

Show me where the fuck I said that ALL used cars are improperly maintaned.  I NEVER FUCKING SAID IT.  I said that you don't know if they have been properly maintained, unless the records are provided.

And you don't know if a brand new car is a lemon either. A CPO car that comes with the remainder of the factory warranty, or even an extended warranty is going to have about the same likelyhood of catastrphic failure as a new one.

Unless you absoutely have to have the latest and greatest (which i do understand, believe me), I see no compelling case to rule out all used cars.

The only real question is, how used do you want your car to be?
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

If you get a new car and it happens to be a lemon, you can use their lemon law to get an identical vehicle.

Ever try to actually get anyone to honor that without taking it to court?

It's such a statistical improbability that it isn't worth factoring into a purchase decision.

Not really. Even if they used cheap building materials, Chryslers aren't really known for being Lemons off the showroom floor.

The TSX is a very very reliable car... a lemon in a million. Although most owners have no problems at all, there are a few known problems. Some of them are known and warranted, some of them are known and aren't warranted. The 2004's have a known design flaw where the interior lights, head unit lights, and climate control lights ALL go out, and it costs thousands to repair if not under warranty. A worrying percentage people have had this problem, me included... however since it is a known problem, and you have a good relationship with your dealer, they may be able to fix it for you free of charge, if not you're out of luck.

It's very smooth, comfortable, and pretty spacious.  I'd look into it big time.

Random question: was that picture taken in Rowlett by chance?

You can ALWAYS have a nicer pre-owned car with a warranty for the same price as a new car. I agree with Raza, all three of you are being stupid.

I suppose most Dallas McMansion developments look pretty much the same, that looks identical to the neighborhood my aunt and uncle live in (the width of the street, position of the mailbox/sidewalks, the size of the yards, alley and street driveways, and the style of house).

Very true.  I hate how everything is exactly the same.

New option. What if we buy the A4 off the lease? I mean, it's an awesome car, she loves it, and I like it more than the TSX. It's like $24,000, but my Dad's open to it. However, we would have to wait until December. If I were her, I would take our A4 over a TSX in a second.

depends on when she needs the car.

Do you have to pay sales tax when you buy the car off your lease? It would be stupid to have to pay sales tax twice on the same item.

I have no idea. I'll look at the lease papers when I can, and I'll see. She is using the Subaru now, but she would like a new car as soon as possible.

Get the TSX.

See, as of now, the only things in favor of the TSX would be price, and timing. We couldn't buy off the A4 until December, and we would have to pay another $4-5k over the TSX.

the "only" things?

- you said yourself that she wants a new car ASAP

- it's all relative, but to me, $4k is a lot of money

Objectively speaking, that's reason enough to get the TSX. Unless, of course, as I mentioned, you won't have to pay sales tax when you buy the Audi off the lease.
