Neither.  Get a brand new Cooper S.  Why?

1)  It looks much better than the Clubman S.
2)  It's better value than the Clubman Cooper S or the JCW.
3)  You can customise it how you want, so you don't have to put up with stupid things such as union-jack wing mirrors.
4)  It's a generation on from the used JCW you are looking at, so it's a more refined and more comfortable car.

nickdrinkwater

Also, the cold weather package is a waste of money.

Why oh Why do you want rear fog lamps?

Because people are dumb and I'd prefer not to be rear ended.  But that's just me.

But less capable and it has a fake hood scoop.  Were it a Mustang, the media would be outraged.

Is the scoop on the R53 functional?

I believe it is.  The turbo motor, as I recall, utilizes a front mount intercooler, making a scoop unnecessary.  But in this costumer jewelry, fake Rolex world, the fake scoop stays.

I should have said "some modern cars".  If you have super bright LEDs like on an Infiniti G, then you don't need a rear fog.  I think the only problem with rear fog lights is their misuse.

I disagree.  In thick fog it allows you to see the car in front much more easily and further away.  Very useful on the motorway/highway when traffic in front is slowling, as it can allow people to slow down earlier.
In the UK it is mandatory for a rear foglight to be fitted to all cars.

I've driven in some massive fog in the Accord. That doesn't have fogs.

You don't need fog lights in the fog. Just drive slower! This is very much like the snow tire argument in another thread... people don't want to slow down regardless of the conditions and now we need all these lights and different tires and stuff.
And I've driven in fog where you can't even see a car in front of you unless it's within 10 feet of you, and this was on a windy mountain road on the way to go skiing.

Me too. Go slow enough and you won't crash into the person in front of you anyways. They aren't needed.

No it's not.

Driving at night with your lights off is a bad idea.

Driving at night with your lights on is safe and smart motoring.

Driving everywhere with your foglights on is just paranoia, and it's also rude to other motorists.

In fact it may be a little unsafe, provided there is no fog.
