The Caliber is the best car ever.

From a man who once willfully bought a used Sunfire, that may be the most damning statement ever.
The Sunfire is a much superior vehicle in every way.

No.  That was a typo.  I meant to say "Reno" instead of "Caliber".

We had a Caliber last year because one car was in the body shop

It really is a terrible car - the interior looked awful and modulating the CVT is annoying

I hope nobody passes judgement on CVT transmissions based on the Caliber.  It is the worst CVT I've ever driven.  The rpms didn't adjust minutely.  It adjusted them in larger jumps.  Our Freestyle has a fantastic CVT that continuously adjusts in minute increments.  I love CVT, but the CVT in the Caliber is a POS.

I never understood the reasoning behind the Caliber. How can you replace a small, nimble sedan with a trucky crossover?!

I think this may be the worst car in the NA market.

I find myself wanting to defend it.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

It would make a good winter beater/dog car if you could pick one up really cheap.

I disagree.  I couldn't even get comfortable, especially with the centre stack digging into my knee.

Strip out the interior, including useless plastic appendages like the center console, and put a bench seat from a pickup up front. Instant dog car.

Replace it with a US-spec center stack.

How does it differ from a Canadian spec centre stack?

The Caliber is a lousy car, but there's no need to exaggerate.

Cargo space? Rear seat space? Safety ratings?

If you took the wheels off and stuck a bunch of them strategically around town, they'd make for some nice bus shacks.

I've been in one and agree with Hemi. I don't think I've ever been so underwhelmed by a vehicle that I had zero expectations for. For the life of me I can't figure out why they dumped the SX 2.0 ( Neon ) for this thing. It was a better vehicle and taking themselves out of the small "car" market seems really weird to me.

Who said we're exaggerating?  :tounge:

What they really need to do is bring back the Reliant:

Given his lack of punctuation, its a little difficult to ascertain exactly what hte hell he intended to mean.
