No, it's based on its own platform. It is a unit-body construction and not a BOF, but it doesn't share it's platform with any car.

I don't think so. I think it share the platform with the MDX and that's about it. I could be wrong though.

The current Pilot shares a platform with the old Odyssey and old MDX, and I expect the new one will move along to the current versions of those cars.

You may be right to an extent: there's no absolute definition of what a platform actually is, and I'm sure there are many parts shared; but Honda breaks them down as being on separate platforms and that's good enough for me.

Acura claims they are both on their own dedicated platforms. Exactly how "dedicated" those platforms are is a good question.

I wasn't including Acura in that..but now that I think of it the MDX and Pilot were the only two I liked...now the MDX stands alone.
