I'm assuming your price range is ~$40k?

The XJ is a nice choice. I do like the XJR more, like Rag, but if you like the XJ, the normal car is wonderful.

Would you ever consider an X-Type?
Those X-Types are baller.

Well...to answer your question, no.

Lots of reasons.  To name a few:

1. Way too small, I'm pushing 6'4"
2. Im not fond of the compact XJ looks
3. I hate to say it, but it just doesn't feel like a real Jag.  Sorry.  It's a fine small car, but If I wanted a fine small car, I could shop the 3/C/A4 range.  This feels like a proper, British saloon.

It's not a real Jag. It's an AWD Mondeo.

It's a decent car, but it looks like crap in comparison to the rest of its class. Yeah, I agree.

I actually like the 3/4 scale XJ looks. I like the X type with the manual trans, and the fact that it's just a Mondeo underneath means a lot of aftermarket upgrades are available. And with Jag depreciation, the X types are cheap these days. I've posted pics of modded ones like I'd like. If it weren't that the starting price was double the E38, I'd have probably gone that route when buying, especially since it's really just my old SVT Contour with more hp, AWD, and Jag looks.
Like a fine Detroit wine, this vehicle has aged to budgetary perfection...

You stupid bastard! Where are the pictures? I don't want to use Google!
