What you need to do is go and find an R-model Mack with a five speed. Not the 13 speed, the five speed. Drive it around town unloaded and bobtailed for a while.

Everything else will seem like cake.

Seriously. I know its not something everybody has access to, but its the best crash course in how to drive stick smoothly I've ever seen.

Oh man, I bet.  I would imagine that driving any sort of vehicle that requires double-clutching would teach me worlds about it.
