Does your wife cook Indian food from scratch? How long does it take her to prepare a meal? I wouldn't mind leaning how to cook better Indian food from scratch, at the moment I only use readymade Indian pastes and sauces.

FoMo, have you ever had haleem?  My mother makes this kickass haleem with a massive amount of beef in it.  Delicious.
I don't think I ever have.  My wife's cooking is Northern Indian, so she says.

She cooks from scratch and I've never seen her use recipes.  She's got all these big containers with different spices and stuff that she gets from the South Asian markets.  When she does goat curry though, she buys the goat from the Jamaican market because she's convinced the goat from the South Asian markets is really lamb .  I don't get too involved when she's in the kitchen though other than cleaning up when she's done.  Everything on the stove is sizzling and bubbling all over the place and it smells great and it usually takes her a few hours before she's finished.  She'll plan on a couple on entres along with a few side dishes but she always ends up with a lot more.  However, she only cooks when we have company because she says she can't make small batches.

They have a place called Cabo Fish Taco in Blacksburg. I almost wrecked when I drove past it.
