Yes, the Charger has a kickup under the rear side window, but the Mustang's version looks pretty much IDENTICAL to the '65-70 Mustang's kickup...

Even sharing the line with the Torino of that era:

ChrisV is correct--the 2010 Mustang's rear fender kick-up takes after the first three Mustang editions.  The current Charger has more of a late-'Sixties Oldsmobile kick-up--very pronounced (to the point of being somewhat overdone, or so we thought of the Oldsmobile's kick-up back in the day...).
So many stairs...so little time...

Which explains a lot.

Are you retarded? The Guigaro mustang is hot. This is ok, but looks really lazy and more like a mild refresh rather than an all new design.

I see what you're saying, but it just doesn't feel right to me.

I'll keep the 05 on my shopping list, but I don't think this will make it, even if I win the lottery.

The Giugiaro Mustang is a 2 seater, the front end doesn't look right, the rear end looks weird, and the profile looks like a 280Z.

I just finished watching the "2010 Mustang Reveal" on Speed. The GT only has 315hp. I thought it would have at least 350hp! That's only 10hp (an 5hp less than the SS version) more than my decade old Z28.  :evildude:  The bad part is it'll probably still outsell the Camaro and Challenger.  :banghead:

What's more concerning is that it is only 15 hp more than the V6 Camaro.

True! And with over 100 hp less that the manual SS who in their right mind would buy the 'Stang over the Camaro (or Challenger)?

The Mustang GT won't compete with the Camaro SS.  The Shelby GTxxx will.

Yep! Version #12,567,892.  :nutty:
Have you ever heard of the Shelby GT500?  Don't forget, the SS from '98 wasn't a GT competitor, it was a Cobra competitor, and the Cobra gave it a run for it's money.

Thats true. But the base models still didn't have such a huge differance in power. In '98 the Z28 was only up by 45 hp,next year the gap will be 85-107hp. Thats a lotta horse power no matter how you weight it.

Sequential turn signals light each bulb one after the other. The inner most bulb will light first followed by the middle bulb and finally the edge bulb. IIRC Cougers had them back in the 70s.

The turn signals look kinda like this!

I am sure the SS will be significantly more expensive, but the V6 Camaro should be less expensive than the Mustang GT while having better fuel economy and a more advanced suspension.

GoCougs

Camaro SS base MSRP: $30,995.

Mustang GT base MSRP: $27,570.

$3,425 for an additional 107 hp, IRS, and 6sp MT???

Mega cheap.

the Teuton

There is no Cobra that really competes with the SS anymore.  A modern Cobra would fill the space between 300 and 500 hp.  It, too, would fill the price gap.

The SS is a screaming bargain anymore.  All we need now are the SS engine and transmission to show up in the G8.

Will it be out sometime before gas goes back up, Obama invites Abnedinejad to the White House, and Chrysler goes under?

Keep selling a ton of mustangs.

This camaro is no differnet from the last, brutal styling with a good bit more hp than a Mustang.  That didn't seem to work and now it is even more expensive than a Mustang.

I suspect this will have a great first year with a die-hard Chevy fanboys eating them up but then trailing off since this has no female appeal.
