HOLY CRAP this is what the C7 Vette should look like

Sorry, I love the '68-69 Corvettes, especially convertibles...

And the '69 Duntov car was very competetive in road racing in Europe:

Like a fine Detroit wine, this vehicle has aged to budgetary perfection...

I think it's absolutely stunning. I'd buy one in a heartbeat - but as a bespoke special rather than as a new generation of Corvette.

Oh my. The addition of the bumperettes does wonders for the rear end, and those front fenders are exquisite, especially in this day and age of collapsible front ends for pedestrians to bounce off onto the road.

I'm a big fan of the chrome-bumper C3s, too.

You're not alone.  A new Vette styled like the worst looking Vettes ever made is not cool.

^^^On Crack.
Stingray corvettes where the best looking ever.

Sigma Projects

I'm surprised anyone doesn't like the C3s... I mean then if someone doesn't like the C3 they should like the 1968?1973 Opel GT, Toyota 2000GT, Lamborghini Miura, etc. Or maybe they do.

I think the C3 has a very good design. In fact, I think it's styled better than any other Vette ever made (although I personally like the later C1s).

Depending on price, that could be a good deal.

You might be in luck; I believe the creator of this one-off plans to produce limited numbers available for sale.

I like the bumperettes too :praise:

But I thought the purpose of our collapsible front ends was to serve as a fluffy cushion for pedestrians? :tounge:

I'm not a fan of the odd numbered Vettes.

The even numbered ones, though...

And finally, the C3 lovers appear!

This car is absolutely gorgeous.

A car so brash and vulgar; how could you not like it at least a little?

If forced, I'd say that the C6 is the ugliest Corvette, and it's still pretty okay looking.  Although, the more I see it in GT5P, the more I like it.

Looks just like that, except it was stock wheels, and of course, no roof panel.

You have a model of one?  What brand and where'd you get it?

It's probably the same exact one I had when I was a kid. Mine was even also white. Maisto, I believe. I think I got it at Costco, actually, but I'm not sure how much luck you'd have finding one today.

My brother has a Maisto one, blue with silver stripes and black 5 spoke wheels with the removeable roof panel.

It's a Maisto, and I've had it for as long as I can remember.  But if I had to wager a guess, I'd say I got it from KB Toys.  That's where I tended to get model cars as a kid.

And yes, it is 1:18 scale.  And the passenger door is a little loose, so it can appear misaligned at times.  But I love it.

My favorite Corvette is indeed the C3: '68 - '73 to be exact. '74 is when the C3 fell off the cliff with the bulbous update and tacky add-ons.

Sorry, I just don't like them. Not the shape or the interior. And I think they drive like shit too even for their day.  And "redneck" comes from all the people who I know that have them are well, rednecks. Now I know that not all the people who like them are.

I owned a '75. it didn't drive like shit, even for it's day (it was slow in stock form, but it wasn't hard to make the SBC make lots of power). I don't know a SINGLE redneck that owns one, especially the valuable early chrome bumper versions like I posted. I also posted a LeMans race version, which, like the early Greenwood cars, was very succesful in road racing. That doesn't sound very redneck.

I'm also a fan of the mid'70s Greenwood cars that ran at places like Sebring and LeMans:
