Actually since most vette fans would scoff at the idea and since the vette already has a established image(for good or bad) GM should split off from the vette and build a higher up model that employs a mid-engined design.

i'm all for that. Maybe bring back a $40K slot car? And have the Vette move up to the $60K slot? Or vice versa bring the Vette back down to the $40K slot it used to be and make a new MR car in the $60K slot.
