No surprise what I'd choose.  The car I almost bought in July.

Strange how the Ralliart is being universally panned in the press; in the UK and here.

WRX mostly because of the snow we get here, but it'd be a hard choise between it and the 'balt SS.

I'd really like a Mini S, but the last one I built on their website was optioned out to $28k. I'd have to get a Cobalt SS just to avoid the temptation of checking those option package boxes :mask:

That WRX makes an amazing overall choice for a daily driver.  AWD, STI straight line performance, decent space, refined and comfortable, Japanese reliability, 25k.  How could you lose?

4th place is just the 3rd loser.  :evildude:

MAZZADASPEE3D FTW!!!!!1!!!!!!!!

...and quite frankly, I am shocked at the number of votes for the crapbox Chevy Cobalt. I didn't think there were so many Chevy fanboys on this board. I figured most of you guys for import snobz.

If it feels anything like the 08 WRX to drive, you could lose very easily, and a lot.

That's ever so slightly more than ironic, coming from you.

WRX or Civic Si.

If the WRX isn't a hatch though, I don't want it. I hate the sedan.

the Teuton

I picked the one with the floppy suspension, ugly styling, and piss-poor brakes.
2. 1995 Saturn SL2 5-speed, 126,500 miles. 5,000 miles in two and a half months. That works out to 24,000 miles per year if I can keep up the pace.

Most likely the MS3. But it's kinda ugly and owning it would kill a little bit of me everytime I looked at it.

Nethead

'Went with the Mini, although I'd havta drive the Mazdaspeed3 and the Mini on the same roads before forking out any cash.  Conceptually, I like the Mini better, but I would buy the Mazdaspeed if driving it is more satisfying than driving the Mini....

GTI, please. My ten-metre Fleetwood with a padded vinyl roof, buttoned leather interior and chrome plated bidet is for being brash, so I have little need for these other less-mature cars.

3.0L V6

Between the Cobalt and the Mazdaspeed 3

I'd take the Cobalt and pocket the $4 grand difference.

I would rock with the Cobalt coupe if not for that awful rear end.

Meh with the money saved I could prob. put a decent rear end on it ha!

Speed_Racer

Mazdaspeed 3 in that reddish orange color (IIRC).

You could probably find some way to swap the taillights from the Pontiac version. I always mistake those at first glance for GTO's from behind. That is, until I notice the tiny wheels and tiny exhaust.

SVT666

Like I stated above, I would take the SS Coupe (not the sedan), but I honestly love my SVT so much that I would just spring for a turbo and new diff and be done with it.

Rich

I voted MINI, but I'd just get the hardtop instead of the Clubman

I voted GTI.

I was debating between that and the Mini. If the Mini is naturally aspirated, that makes the choice easy for me.
