Challenger SRT-8 vs. GT500

I came across this picture and I had a hell of a time trying to decide which one I prefer.  Styling wise, which do you prefer?

They both look amazing.  I can't decide.

If I had no other choice, I suppose I'd take the Challenger; in black, to hide its gaudiness as much as possible.

IMO the Challenger is too retro and the GT500 looks like it's trying too hard. I'd rather have a Highland Green Bullitt but between the two probably the GT500 just not with the stripes or if it has to have stripes, then different colors.

Challenger.

If I can't have a Mustang Bullitt.

Or a Camaro.

Challenger. A beautiful shape and a better rear suspension.

The local Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealer got three of them in, one of them is that red, the other two are creamsicle orange. Those cars are the only actual Chrysler product displayed to the street.

I want a Maytag white R/T "Vanishing Point" edition.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

I finally voted.  Challenger.

I voted just before you did.  GT500.

But I think I'd be more likely to buy a Challenger or a lesser Mustang.

They should totally make a Bullitt Charger and a Vanishing Point Challenger.

Then, they need to make a black one and call it Fast and Furious.  Make sure it has 900 and a rollcage, too.

Chrysler could be doing so much more to market the hell out of their cars, and I think it would work.

I voted for the Stang, though, at least in that guise.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

Tell me that Challenger isn't one of the most badass cars you've ever seen.

...Or is it a Charger.  My MOPAR history sucks right now.

What the hell is it?

A Challenger, please. Those GT500 wheels are dreadful.

GoCougs

Actually, the F&F Charger is a '70 - the '68 had round tail lights and no chrome wrap-around trim on the front. The '68 is the coolest car ever built IMO (specifically, the '68 in Bullitt).

As to the OP - tough call - I think I'd opt for the Challenger. However, having seen a few up close, it's really not all that attractive. Having driven a Mustang, Ford nailed the retro look and feel from the cockpit, so I wouldn't be surprised if a test reverses my vote.

And yes, the GT500 wheels are very bland.

No, that's a '68 Charger.

I think that's a 70 model.  68 didn't have the chrome lips around the grill
