Wow that looks terrible. :mask:

To be fair, that isn't the most flattering picture.

But, regardless of photography, the current car looks much better.

Yeah, I'd take a 535i over a 550i. It's just that you can't find a CPO example for as cheap as you can find a 2006 550i, due to the fact that the 535i was introduced in 2008.

Ah, I thought the 550i and 535i came out at the same time.

Sure.  Used ones I can see being that price, but not new ones.

Quote from: 2o6 on February 11, 2009, 02:18:04 PM
Those aren't new. All cars lose their value when people drive them off the lot.

GUYS, GUYS, GUYS: like I plainly and originally said:

Driving by the local Pontiac dealer they have a few '08 G8 GTs stickered at $20k and change. A bit of bargaining would get you one for $18k easily.

I'm calling BS. The ones you posted are used cars. Used cars with a relatively high amount of miles on them. (A car that's a few months old and already has 10K miles?)

Joke's on you, sir. Those aren't new cars. Of course they're cheaper then their new counterparts.

A 550i is a $70k car.

A Ford Taurus is half the price.

He said all along that it was an '08. 2008 models are used cars. He never claimed that they were new.

Depending on price, that could be a good deal.

I was a little bit harsh, and I apologize, but for heaven's sake, I posted the original post right there for you to see.

Not necessarily. If a car is selling very poorly it is very easy to believe they would still be selling '08s in the beginning of '09.

I don't see anything about that post that indicates you were talking about used cars .

The beginning of '09 MY was this summer.

So? I bought an '02 in January of '02 once, new. I could find '07 Hummers new on the lot still too, if I wanted to.

Why is a Mercedes E320 selling for 5 million dollars?

Regardless, he never claimed it was new, and gave you the information to deduce it was used. Then Iffy confirmed they were used, and people still gave him shit for it.

One would assume that when looking at prices of a new car any further prices mentioned would also be of new cars unless otherwise specified.

This comes back to comparing apples and oranges as teutsie originally noted.

Yes, because it doesn't have a fucking Mercedes Benz or BMW badge on it, but instead a Hyundai badge (technically, it doesn't even have a Hyundai badge), you hate on it.

You'd be masturbating to it if it was made by your favorite MB.

Nope...wrong.  The Z4, X3, X6 and even the almighty 7 still get looks of scorn from me.  And don't even get me started on a good half of all Mercs produced from 1997 to 2005, they were either poorly designed or poorly executed.

I like Audi too, but aside from the S8, I'm not a huge fan of the A8 series.

Jaguar?  I love their cars, but up until recently, they had only two models worth looking at...the S type was rubbish and the x-type...well...that was actually a decent car.

I don't know why I'm proving to you that my opinion is that the Genesis is bloated.  I just think it is.  The frontal 3/4s view has the same bloat a 2001-2007 Lexus LS had from the same view.  The actual car looks ok from the side, but it's as if the designers took a piece of every 50k + car then threw them together...it just doesn't work.

Hopefully, soon, i'll test drive one.

I think Cougs is planning an elaborate scheme to trick the minds of all on here into believing a certain car is selling for cheap.

That bastard!
