Salar de Uyuni, in Bolivia.

Largest salt flat on earth, 25 times the size of Bonneville Salt Flats.  When it's covered in shallow water, as it is in Payman's picture, it creates a mirror surface that can be seen from orbit, and is used to calibrate spy satellites.
