I don't particularly care for that fridge.  I like stainless, but the black accents make it look too industrial.  Now, a completely gloss black fridge?  That's cool.

I'll be doing just that tomorrow.  Home Depot for supplies to finish the Brick BBQ pit and then grocery shopping.  I can get about 12 standard grocery bags in the 2+2 with the rear seat back moved forward.

Hahaha. Love it!

Man, I've always loved those. Big ass domestic convertible, perfect for cruising around in. That's my favorite Bonneville year, too.
Like a fine Detroit wine, this vehicle has aged to budgetary perfection...

You're not too far from Clarksville, are you? Buy it up!

hahaha! If I had the extra cash, I definitely would.

Then I'd have to live in it, as I couldn't live in the house anymore... :(

If I were truely in the market for a big 60's boat that would be it.  I love those 65 and 66 Bonneville convertibles and I love red cars.  Clarksville, $10K.  Think about it. :ohyeah:

Looks like a repaint and it needs a new top so says the ad.  God only knows about rust.  The pictures show an unrestored engine compartment.  Interior looked OK

Is that why it's not in all-caps on Kia's website?  In fact, it's both ways.

Does it really matter?

Another thread about loathsome little economy boxes saved by massive American cars from the '60s. :ohyeah:

In most regards, I find anything from Scion not named tC is a piece of garbage. Frankly, a Yaris is put together better than a xD or xB. I've spent some time in the new vehicles and they are full of the worst plastic I have ever seen (other than new Chrysler interiors). There is nothing solid about an xB. It's junk and not very much fun to cruise around in. The ride is atrocious. The only reason I can see anybody buying one is because they like the looks of it. If you like the looks of an xB, then I question your taste.

The other two I have not spent any time in. The Cube itself looks too weird to be taken seriously. The Soul is probably the best looking of the group. I think the Koreans got the design right on the Soul. I think it looks fantastic with the inserts being the only negative. Something more conservative might have been a better choice, but you can get that at lower trim levels. The ultimate problem I have with Korean vehicles is not design or functionality. It's quality. Korean vehicle have always had a quality problem because they use second rate materials in their vehicles with engines being less than competitive. Fit and finish has gotten a lot better in Korean cars over the last 5 years, but they still use too many second rate materials in their vehicles. With that said, I think they make great vehicles for the budgeted consumer. In this regard, the Rondo is an awesome vehicle. You can do so much with the Rondo. This is why those of you complaining about Utility in the Soul is pointless especially when Kia offers another value vehicle in the Rondo that is all about Utility. So in Kia's mind, more Utility would seem detrimental to the Rondo. At that point, one of the few reasons you'd get a Rondo is because you needed to seat 7. I think Kia wanted to make the Soul fun. In this regard, I think they have succeeded. It's the best handling vehicle of the group, has utility, and is the best looking (IMO).

I'd buy a soul before I'd buy either the xB or Cube.

You have no Soul if you bought a boring Korean box! A Volvo C30 would have been a better choice!

If you're trying to be me then you'll need to do better than that!

The truth is I quite like the looks of the Soul.  Kia has certainly made great strides on the quality front, too.  I'd be willing to give one a try.  Betcha didn't expect to hear that from me, did you?  I also find the Cube somewhat interesting, although I'm not quite sold on the asymmetric styling.  I still wouldn't touch an xB with a bargepole, however.

I do agree with you (me?) about the C30.   It may not hold as much as the box brigade mentioned above but it's still a very cool car!

The Rondo is an appliance. It's very well designed car, but very, very boring. It's utterly devoid of style and is in a segment above the SOUL. The Soul appeals to young people, while the Rondo appeals to Honda and Toyota shoppers on a budget.

The Cube isn't meant to be taken seriously, thus the Versa being the "normal" subcompact sold alongside it.

I love the C30. However, I love the S40 better.

I would (and have) take a Volkswagen A car over a Volvo C1 car.  They're too damn expensive for what they are, and that is most evident with the C30.

I saw a Soul earlier. It looked pretty good, certainly better than an xB. Compared to a Cube, I'm not sure which one wins.

Personally, I'd take a V50 over the S40 or C30.  Same car, more space.  But let's not get off topic here.  206 was only trying to mock my affection for all things Volvo.  Fact is, Hyundai/Kia is very rapidly getting it's act together.  Not that long ago, both these brands were a joke and, indeed, many of their current products still are.  But the new stuff Hyundai/Kia has in the pipeline seems good enough to scare the bejesus out of the world's mainstream carmakers.  Better get used to this, since we're all going to have to drive SOMETHING when all the American, European and Japanese manufacturers go belly-up.  And at the rate things are going, that won't be long!
