I wouldn't be sad to see Peugeot go. I miss the days of the handsome 206 and 406, the riotous 205, or the perky 106  - now all we get are ugly yelling cars with inflated pricetags, and impossibly stupid folding-hardtop mobile handbag CC versions. No thank you.

Agreed.  Peugeot haven't really made anything interesting for a while now.

A four-way tie between Honda, Toyota, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

While all four companies are suffering in the currrent market environment, all are fundementally healthy. Why would you sacrifice companies which can make you profit?

Seat.

It's sales have mostly disappeared and it serves no purpose in the VW group.

I can't even begin to choose. I can't think of any car makers besides Hyundai, BMW, Nissan and Porsche that make anything I would want to actually buy new.

scion, they are of no use.

Oh yeah, definitely. Unless they make a $20,000 turbo Supra, bye-bye.

Who said anything about profits? The question asked which one I'd get rid of if I had complete and utter control of the industry. I'd get rid of BMW, Honda, Mercedes-Benz and Toyota because I hate that they're everybody's favourites.

I love underdogs.

That merely means that the underdogs will then become everybody's favorites, and you'll hate those for their popularity as well.

I would've picked Saturn or Buick, but I can't as per the rules of this game?

It may not be exciting, but it's a damn good car nonetheless:

Plus I really like the current version of the Grand Vitara:

Well, Suzuki has the Swift overseas. I hear goooood things about it. Scion's a turd, and Kia's mainstream cars are competent.

Yeah- gotta agree here.  The other one I'ld add to that is VW- it's just so worthless.  The only thing they make I think is even decent is that SUV.  Since they killed the Pheaton or whatever it was called it's just a lame car company.

Clearly, you don't know much.

Hold on, that's just about their whole lineup. There isn't a single car in VW's lineup except the Beetle that's not one of the best in their respective classes. They're expensive, sure, but they definitely aren't worthless.

The Passat CC is worthless.  Is it a cutrate CLS or an expensive, less functional Passat?

Ugly- and plain useless.  Those wheels are just ghastly.

A cheap knockoff of the C-class - and it's just not exciting.  Just another boring knockoff car.

Ultimate in ugly- and it's not even slightly cool like the GTi.  Utterly useless.

ick.  Overdone- over style- and wayyyy under-attractive.

If you're gonna buy German- at least buy a good German car.      :evildude:

There is no prestige to owning a VW, and for the money I'd rather get an I6 X5 over a V8 Touareg.  If I am spending that kind of money, I could care less if the BMW isn't as well equipped.
