Automakers begin releasing April sales figures

Automakers have begun releasing data on their sales last month and, not surprisingly, those released so far have been down compared to the month prior. Though only a few automakers have released figures, there are some silver linings, such as the best-ever April sales for the Ford Fusion.

We?ll continue to update this space as more automakers release their sales figures. If you?re curious about market trends, you?ll want to compare to January, February and March figures.

The good
Ford?s Fusion, including the 2009 and redesigned 2010, which recently hit dealers, had its best-ever April with 18,321 units sold.

The bad
Lincoln sales were down 42.2 percent, a 9 percent drop-off compared to March?s 33 percent slide.

The ugly
Ford, down 30 percent to 116,263
Lincoln, down 42.2 percent to 5,973
Mercury, down 40.7 percent to 7,662
Volvo, down 36.9 percent to 4,503

the Teuton

2. 1995 Saturn SL2 5-speed, 126,500 miles. 5,000 miles in two and a half months. That works out to 24,000 miles per year if I can keep up the pace.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

She'll hate diesel passenger cars, all things Ford, and fiat currency.  They will masturbate to old interviews of Ayn Rand an youtube together.
You can take the troll out of the Subaru, but you can't take the Subaru out of the troll!

Because I got bored...

midsize sedans +20,762
pickup trucks -2,467
compact sedans +1,462
compact SUVs +592

these are April 09 vs. March 09 numbers; it'd be interesting to see April 09 vs. April 08.
