The tire rack rusted off, exposing some gaping holes on the 1998 my brother was looking at.

Herculiner the whole lower rocker panels.

Rockers are fine (already been repaired).
The rust problem is in the frame over the rear axle. The bump stops are going to fall off pretty soon.

Yeah, the bump stops fell off my Ranger too.  You don't need 'em anyway.

After you wake up with the sun at 6am on someone's floor, coughing up cigarette butts and tasting like warm beer, you may well change your opinion on this matter.

I want to see if you really do get to #20 before I get to #2.
2. 1995 Saturn SL2 5-speed, 126,500 miles. 5,000 miles in two and a half months. That works out to 24,000 miles per year if I can keep up the pace.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

It could very well happen, however, the long-range forecast calls only for Swifty and Pathy over the next two years.

It's a thread about NACar's most recent vehicular acquisition.  There's at least another 30 pages coming.

Stuff to do eventually:

Secure driver's headlight, or replace assembly

Check ignition timing

Replace driver's door lock cylinder

Turn rotors, replace pads

Fix frame rust over rear wheels

Flush trans fluid, install aftermarket cooler

FAIL

The VG30ET is a direct bolt in. You could probably turbo it for $500.

Hell, you could probably just buy some manifolds and a stock T3 from a turbo motor and throw it on.

So rather than turbocharge a robust engine that was built from the factory for turbocharging, you'd rather turbocharge a 3 cylinder Geo Metro that will shatter the rods at 2 psi of boost?

Your and senseless.
