There will be no V8.  There will be a B230FT.

Here's a picture of it in its glory:

(Forgive the size)

Fucking gorgeous, if I were being asked.

The big plastic bumper sort of ruins the ends, but that can be fixed.  Otherwise I agree with you, very cool car.

Nah, I like it.

CJ, when you're ready to sell, and I'm assuming this'll be years down the road, let me know.  I'm really quite smitten.

What fun! It appears that nature has taken care of stripping off the old paint-job in preparation for a shiny new coat.

Raza, those old ads are fantastic, and now I want one too.

I agree with a 302. Putting Megasquirt on that old POS would be silly, but putting Megasquirt on a 302 would be glorious.

Rowr.

Exactly.  Although the standard 205 GTi was nothing to disregard.

Only $2999!

Hell, even a lesser Si model would be fun, and probably less likely to have been thrashed.

That's the 1.9 too.  A far better ride than your Lexcen.  Get it.

Well done!!!

Volvos can be addictive.  I hope your planning on keeping the original B21.  Original 242GTs are rare beasts these days and originality is everything to fans of these cars.  But why get rid of the 940?  You've already sorted everything that could potentially go wrong with this car.  Keep it and enjoy the next quarter-million miles of trouble-free driving!  Although, I have to admit I like the sound of a V70, too.

See, I told you Volvos were addictive!  :ohyeah:

Oh, Madman, you've got no idea!  My first word to spell was Volvo.  I came home later that day and wrote it.  We've got it in my box and I'll scan it eventually.

I'll keep the B21 for now and add a B230FT later on.  Its M46 seems to be quite nice.

The last 4 issues of Motor have featured an injected Holden 5L V8 transplant into a Volvo 242GT.....

And it's for sale!

Vinsanity

yup, after seeing that Holden-powered silver Frankenstein, I have to take back my stern words of caution to CJ. But you *have* to drop a Chevy 350 under the hood. I'll even hook you up with an 'IROC-Z' decal for the bottom of your doors
