A base TSX stickers at $27K without the nav, and an LS V6 with no options is currently $33K sticker, with a Ford Family Plan price of $27,500. An Impala with the midlevel engine stickers around $25K. I can pull up the prices for the cars you listed as well, if you want.

Just saying I wouldn't pay 25K for an Impala when I could get a Passat.

No offense to the Passat, but its nothing to be holding your nose in the air about. Its just a VW.

I'm not being snobbish, and I understand the appeal of the Impala over the Passat (it's freaking huge!) but I'm saying that if I could get a better car at the same price I would, and I think many other buyers will think that as well.  The Accord V6 is around the same price as well.

Some people will only buy American, so this is the car for them.

The Impala also has the 3.9 pushrod V6. I really like the punchy 3800 in my mom's Intrigue and this sounds even better! (I think it has 240 hp, no?!)

Not to mention, VW's reliabilty record will scare some buyers away.
