2010 Sonata

I think there's some distortion with the 'spy' photo of the front end.

I do like the interior quite a lot.

Submariner

Whoever did the front end (along with the Genesis coupe) need's to be hung.

The interior is a very nice evolution of the current one, though.  I like it quite a bit.

I love everything but the grille.  It looks like it's been Venza-fied.

It's embarrassingly over styled.

The front end looks Peugeotish to me, everything else looks great though. One of the most attractive midsizers imho.

CALL_911

I don't mind the front end, but that center console's a straight up Nissan ripoff.

With the additional pics that have come out recently, I continue to be impressed with the design. I think it looks good. The grille is a bit oversize, but everything else looks great, and the grille isn't that bad anyways. It has a high end look, in the Asian kind of way. Interior looks great as well. It's huge leaps ahead of the current Sonata, and if it drives as well as they've styled it, I'd say it'll likely be class leading. Powertrains thus far sound promising.

That is overstyled, self-indulgent circle-jerkery.

Give me this car:

with the new interior, and I'll be a happy Omi.

The design is overstyled, but is it functional at all (lighter weight, more aerodynamic). The blind spots have got to be terrible on that thing. The interior looks Toyotafied. I wonder if the quality dropped at all? I do not know where Hyundai is going with their styling schemes. I do like the design language of Kia lately, but Hyundai seems to be going a bit overboard with the Genesis and the new Sonata. I was so used to Hyundai making dull looking cars (Sonata, Elantra, Accent) that I do not how to perceive this other than overreaching. We'll see. I'd like to know what the specs are going to be.

This is a LOT of rear seat legroom.

I think it looks nice... especially the black interior.  When does this come out in the US?

ifcar

The body-colored grille works much better than the chrome.

I like the Sonata a lot. I love that Sonata.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

My lord I cannot express in words how bad the front end is.

The interior is nice, though.

I almost like it - but then, I like Peugeots, even thought they've begun to remind me of a mad uncle: blissfully unaware of how the rest of the world perceives him. Nonetheless, a good bet for those who find their mad uncle to be, after all, the light of an otherwise predictable family gathering.

Hyundai is finding its own style now. Mind you, CAR said that back when the first Tiburon launched, in 1996. Maybe this time they'll have the confidence to stay with it.

SUPERIOR TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- Hyundai Motor Co. said Friday the 2011 Sonata sedan will lead all midsize cars in fuel economy.

The Korean automaker expects the Sonata to get 35 mpg on the highway and 23 in the city. It will be equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission and a new direct-injection four cylinder engine.

The Ford Fusion is the current leader for gasoline powered midsize cars at 34 mpg.

Hyundai unveiled the engine Friday at its American technical center near Ann Arbor, Mich.

Despite its derivative elements, I think this car offers a ton of style and passion for the class. Wow.

The black grille is the shit.  That makes it looks loads better.

With the black grille and darker wheels, I'm really digging the looks of this car.  With the chrome grille, it's almost unsightly.  I hope Ford gets a clue from this picture and offers the Fusion with a black chrome package.

Word from the LA auto show is that the optional engines are going to be a hybrid, and more importantly...a TERBOW!

It appears so. The base NA engine's 200 hp is quite close to the CC's (210?)

Def a poor man's CLS

But a much needed entry in a segment dominated by Accords & Camrys. Good job Hyundai
