GPA cars!

The point of this game is to pick two cars, a daily driver and a track toy who's engine displacement is equivalent to your GPA (or GPA when you were in school)

- Daily driver must be within reason, i.e, a McLaren F1 is totally impractical.

- Displacement of both cars has to match your GPA.

Weighted or unweighted? If it's the former, than a F1 would be impossible.

I'll take a Honda S2000 and Mazda RX-8

1.3+2.2<my GPA

Or does it have to be on the dot (within reason)?

CALL_911

Okay, my GPA is a 3.8, rounded (3.75). That makes this the easiest decision ever.

997 GT3 RS for my track toy, and daily driver. Why bother buying two cars, when I can get both in one?

Weighted is ok.

However, you missed the point.

Your GPA is 3.5, right? That means both cars have to have a displacement of 3.5 Liters, or around that.

I'm going to say that a 997 GT3 is unusable as a Daily Driver. It's not very maneuverable in city traffic, has a heavy clutch, a wide turning circle.

Then I misunderstood, and it's at least 3.5 (I don't see any need for me to explicitly say what my GPA is, that would seem an awful lot like bragging).

Pfft, it's fine. If you don't want one, then don't pick it. I think I could use one daily.  The heavy clutch doesn't bother me much, and it's turning circle isn't that bad.

A standard GT3 is perfectly reasonable for a daily driver, if you can afford the upkeep.  Many people daily drive 911s of all sorts, including Turbos and GT3s.  I've seen people daily drive far more uncomfortable and impractical cars than a GT3.

And what makes it less maneuverable in city traffic than, say, a minivan or SUV or full size sedan?

Also, I'll take a last generation 9-3 Aero convertible as my daily driver, and a current generation Boxster as my track toy.

You've never driven a car with a clutch. You wouldn't know what's usable and what's not. A GT3 is perfectly reasonable. Besides, the new RS doesn't have the 6-point harness anymore, so it's more practical.

I'd go with a 6-speed turbo.  I'm not sure a GT3 RS would make for a good every day car...
