Meh, never really paid attention to the dinger at startup, but I suppose you guys are right.

None of our cars do either, and the old Chrysler buzz is the most annoying thing ever, luckily our Durango is new enough (just barely) to not have it.

Maybe it is just the trucks, I know the 1994-1997 Ram buzzes.
