Well, about that...  I've had to deal with squeak issues on one G5.  Only one though because I think that's roughly the same number that we sold YTD in 09.

The G5 is the Cobalt. The G3 -- that's one badass little Aveo.

I'm impressed by that interior. Of course the lighting is set up to bounce off just right, but still... it looks purdy!

That's very attractive.

There's no way it will look that good in person. It's like pictures of Whoppers that Burger King has on its display boards. Any attempt to replicate it is futile.

Are you suggesting that the real Aveos will be haphazardly thrown together with all the pickles on one side, all the tomatoes on the other size, half the cheese hanging off the bun, wrapped up in wax paper, placed under a heat lamp for three hours, and man handled into a paper bag before it is delievered to the customer?

Something like that, yes.

I've driven a lot of GM's new products. Are they highly competitive? Yes. Are they class-leading...?

That looks great!  The sedan looks even better than the hatch.

But here is the most important question: Is it better looking than a Reno?

Yep, looks terrific. This will be a great option for those, like myself, who thinks 2-foot-long headlights look ridiculous.

I think it looks terrible.  I'd rather have a Fiesta.

The Fiesta has better details, but the sedan variant has awkward proportions. I don't understand how the Aveo looks terrible.

While it IS a rendering, it's actually more of a slight editing of the actual car for ride height, according to an insider on another board.

Same board did this rendering:

Like a fine Detroit wine, this vehicle has aged to budgetary perfection...

I should have guessed they'd make a pointless sedan version, complete with useless mail-slot trunk opening.  The hatch is the only sensible choice in this segment.

A Hatch without a Sedan variant is suicide.

To be fair, the the Caliber is generally a crappy car. It doesn't matter what bodystyle it is.

Looking at the rendering Chris put up, I'm thinking an Alfa grille and badge wouldn't look out of place on this car.

If they don't throw it in a microwave after they assemble it, they'll be fine.

Liking the photos too.  Looks like they finally put some effort into a small car.
