I hope it's much better than the current one, I mean it looks good. But it's still a Daewoo after all, they haven't won my confidence yet.

Why not?

GMDAT helped in quite a few areas.

It's a step forward if nothing else and it will be competitive. I'd rather have a Polo or an SX4. The Fiesta and Mazda2 are also better than this (completely subjective).

Still curious what the new Colt is going to look like.

I saw this car at the local auto show and it looked aweasome and total mean.  They really should put the RS into production.

Yeah, look at how great Dodge did when they scrapped the Neon and went with the Caliber.

Chimp of the Secrets

'cause the Caliber looks exactly like a Neon sedan.
Like a fine Detroit wine, this vehicle has aged to budgetary perfection...

I'll be buying a small runabout in a year or so... wife's car mostly. I'm interested in a comparo of all the new, upcoming micros, but I have to say, I love this interior, love the exterior (both sedan and hatch, but I'll go with a hatch), and the powertrain sounds promising.

I think he meant that they made a bad decision by going with a hatch-only model in America (the land of sedans).

Don't know if this was posted, but here's a rendering of the sedan from GM:

Even with smaller wheels (on high profile tires) this thing is pretty desirable.

Also here is just a reminder of the interior:

The Caliber didn't flop because it was a hatch.  It flopped because it was crap.

Crap sedans sell better than crap hatches.

It's essentially a smaller Cruze, then, with Mitsubishi Lancer headlights and a stupid instrument cluster.
