I think that Ford is the best mix of fun, style, and a wide variety of products.

There will be.  There was one for the last car.  Regardless, this is a sports car.

Please do not let this turn into a fucking Sports Car v. GT thread.

Besides, when you consider that most of anyone's driving is to get from one place to another, would you really consider an Elise to be the Ultimate Driving Machine?

Yes.

Being the ultimate "driving machine" has nothing to do with track times or your commute.

This clearly explains why you drive a Jetta as your daily driver :evildude:

It's a hardtop convertible, which makes it a GT.  And I don't believe there will be an M version.

Let's do it, because I can go all day.

And yes, I do consider the MX-5 PRHT to be a GT and the MX-5 to be a sports car.

If I had to drive one marque, it'd be Ford.

They have a bit of everything, including the Ford GT, which is my ultimate dream car.

Win.

Well, that's just stupid.

Moving on.

It indicates a more comfort-oriented purpose, which is in line with the GT classification (not that all GTs are comfort-oriented).

I'd put money on a Boxster or 911 being cheaper to insure than your RX-8.
I don't think so. The 8 is a 4 door car. It's not much more than a MX-5. I was very happy to see how low it was for a brand new car.

Porsches in general are very cheap to insure.  The Boxster S was cheaper than my Jetta, and when I was running quotes, it was cheaper than a Civic Si and BMW 3 series as well.

I don't know about you guys, but I would feel terrible driving a Porsche other than a Cayenne in the winter. They're too nice. I could picture a bad weather day, and my 911 getting rear ended by some plebian car because they couldn't stop.

If you can afford it, what does it matter?

That said, give me a 959 for winter.
