QuoteHere are the pictures from my weekend in Carmel, California. While i was there i went to the Concours d'Elegance, Concorso Italiano, and Laguna Seca Raceway. My dad and I took 800+ pictures and these are just some of my favorites. I wasn't able to take pictures in the Ferrari tent (i had to sign a waiver saying that i wouldn't) but inside they had a F430 spider, 612 and the new FXX and i got to sit in all of them. The FXX was awesome in person. Inside it's really cramped though. Anyways, enjoy the pictures.

Yes it was naturally aspirated and revved all the way to 8500 rpm.  What an achievement for 1976  If companies could do that now it would still be a technological tour de force.

Just checking up more specs, it had 123 bhp per a litre, and absolute incredible achievement, simply mind boggling to know that this was back in 76.  Wow.

The car weighed 2,341 pounds, had a naturally aspirated inline 6, 8500 rpm redline, which produced 430 hp back in the early 70s (car was made from 73-76 or something, though earlier versions had a little less hp, somewhere in the mid 300s.)

It had 123bhp per litre, and could go about 170 or some odd miles an hour.  Damn, these are sick specs now, can you imagine this was back in 75

170 mph in a car with 1970s aerodynamics? That must be scary.

BMWDave

It had about 141.45 hp to a litre, or something right around there. :)

I think the hp number is usually 15 percent more than the bhp number, and if thats the case, then 141.45 hp would be the correct conversion :)

But we know its somwhere around the low 140s.  Absolutely astounding

I don't think any cars even today have that high of an hp/l. The Evolution gets 135.5 hp/l,. but that's FI'ed. Only the S2000 came anywhere close.
