A Boxster S with 30k miles sounds like a very tempting deal indeed. In a moment of silliness I might consider that 993 Turbo, though.

Caveat : I LOVE Porsches. Love love love them. Too bad this came down to a money decision.

I picked the S2000. I loved being in one of them. Very close second was the new Mustang. I just think even with way less power, I'd still have as much fun in the Honda and it would be less thirsty.

Well, 50-60K will probably get me a 996 Turbo cab, which is really, really nice...

The new Mustang for me.  Convertible please :ohyeah:.

I sat in one at the Auto show and was surprised at how nicely it fit me.

I would probably spend $25-30k, get a decent car, and put the rest away into a rainy day fund.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

Not that I don't like those, I just prefer a large sedan over one of those.

SVT_Power

I chose the 911T. Why? Because it's a 911 Turbo.

I'd rather have a large sedan over a small coupe. Shut up.....

Give it some time. There's a whole world of cars out there and you're just starting to drive them. You might end up being hooked on diesel 4x4 work trucks for all you know in some years.

It happens.

I'd buy a V70 or an S80.  I just don't like sporty vehicles that much.

Definitely a RX-8. So sexy. And I'd have plenty of money left over too.

I voted M3.

They stopped making the s2000 in 2009 btw.

There is no 2005 Z06 either.

Is that the game? It is not. Spend 40K, all of it, on a car... you cheap bastard.

$40k windfall, I wouldn't make any changes to my car situation.

But just to play along, I chose '96 911 Turbo

No way in hell you could actually get a '96 911 Turbo for $40k (yes, I know it's on the poll). Even a Carrera would be pushing it. The 993 is uber-expensive on the used market.

I know, I was thinking that.  If I could get a 993 turbo for ~$40k I'd give serious consideration to selling the vette and replacing it with one.

You have to do a lot of searching, but it's doable, though perhaps with higher mileage.

BimmerM3

I think it would be better to include a 996 Turbo since they're readily available for under $40k.

Yeah, but much better looking than the standard 996 (the Turbo and the C4S were the only examples of that generation that I thought looked good).
