Paint looks good from afar, but up close it's a little nasty.

I pick it up tomorrow, and Friday I get my temporary tags, and put it on the insurance.

Then I get to learn how to drive it. You should have seen me, I didn't realize the handbrake wasn't on, and when I put the clutch in to start the car, it started rolling down the street. Then I didn't realize it wasn't in neutral.....it was in reverse. I started the car only to have it quickly go backwards.   Finally, I put the handbrake on and made sure it was in neutral.....and started the car.

You should depress the clutch pedal before you start anyway. Doesn't matter what gear it's in, though putting it in neutral isn't a bad practice. The Accord won't start without the clutch being depressed.

Also, if I get the E21 running, I'm down for the Top Gear Challenge.

Aftermarket stereos tend to get stolen in my area.
:nono: Get an aftermarket unit. A stock dodge unit from that era will cost almost as much, and they're just pure crap. If you get an aftermarket unit with a removable faceplate, you're fine. That's what everyone else does that lives in an area with stereo theft. An aftermarket unit will likely provide better sound quality, and will definitely have nicer features than the stock unit. Just take the faceplate when you're not in the car. Aftermarket stereos tend to get stolen because they look flashy. Remove a faceplate, and they're harder to pawn or sell out of a trunk, and it's not worth the effort to steal.

You're my age.  We're getting old.  Plus, now that you're married, your life expectancy has gone way down, since you're more likely to be poisoned by your wife.

+1. And like someone else said, turn down the volume before you get close to where you're parking. When I had $1500+ of stuff stolen/damaged from my car, I'm about 99% sure someone followed me home after I was playing my stereo really loud and then came back that night.

Thank god.  I was sick of you posting "400K MILES TERCEL RUNS GOOD NEEDS DOORS HOOD WINDOWS $3500" and asking if it's a good deal.

No, no, no!!!  Nick and my Volvos are WAAAYYY too awesome to have any part in your silly little "challenge".

Besides, it just wouldn't be fair to the other cars, anyway!

Given the power deficit in a straight line Nick has (let's face it, he's probably a better driver), I'd probably have a decent chance of winning. :mask:
