Some sunvisors have sunglasses pouches.

But Euroean vehicles don't. They have a sunglasses compartment ... they're still small though and the only glasses I could put there are my optical specs, and the only time i put them there is when I go clubing. Otherwise, during the day I use optical sunglasses and my normal ones I put in their pouch, which i keep in the center console.

So, a pretty much useless compartment (the sunglasses holder)

I've got a sunglass case that flips down in the center of my roof (by the sunroof dial).  Nice idea, but in the end, stupid.  It's the source of most of the rattles and buzzes that occur on my grueling day-to-day drive.  And if you listen to loud, bassy music, it'll buzz then too.  I had a little flip down visor in the middle in my Passat, and in this car, I have the sunglass case.  I'd rather have the extra visor that is useful for maybe only 10 minutes a year than this thing. I keep my sunglass case in the door pocket.

Slight thread jack... Is the reliability of the lr2 really as absolutely horrendous as the internets seem to make it?

We have a ceiling mounted sunglass holder in our Explorer but it's all padded inside and makes no rattling noises at all.  I really like it.

I use the one in the RX-8 every day. I love it.

I have a nifty little holder right above my left shoulder on top of the driver's-side door. It's a great place to put one, I can't believe more automakers don't.

Depending on price, that could be a good deal.

Oh, I forgot you still had an Aveo. Why haven't you sold that Korean fondue set and bought something with five litres of vinyl roof and ninety horespowered velour seats yet?

Not sure if this is known or not:

Land Rover is about to move into a whole new market niche with its small Range Rover Evoque model. Taking the British offroad specialist in an altogether new direction, the Evoque will offer buyers front-wheel drive variants as well as the company's traditional four-wheel drive layout -- something first rumoured as long ago as May.

Based on the LRX concept car and described by Land Rover as a 'cross-coupe', the Evoque will make its debut in Paris from September 30. The front-wheel drive variant has been developed to help the lightweight Evoque cross the threshold for average fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, with tightening emissions restrictions due in the near future.

"This is a highly relevant and contemporary vehicle that will suit the modern needs of our customers," said Land Rover MD Phil Popham. "The Range Rover Evoque will appeal to a new group of customers who may not have considered a Range Rover before."

Powered by a choice of petrol or diesel, the Evoque also features direct injection, electric power steering and auto-stop/start to reduce CO2 emissions below 130g/km, in the case of the front-drive model. The company also claims combined-cycle fuel consumption as low as 4.9L/100km (48mpg) for the FWD Evoque. Developing 110kW (148hp), the engine in the front-drive Evoque is a 2.2-litre turbodiesel. A 140kW (188hp) version of the engine powers the four-wheel-drive Evoque, which returns fuel consumption of 5.6L/100km (42mpg) and emits less than 145g/km of CO2. Land Rover will also offer the Evoque in a 177kW (237hp) petrol four-cylinder, turbocharged and direct-injected.
